Gungahlin has gone from outer suburb to fully fledged town centre in less than two decades. The light rail terminates here, which has changed the after-work crowd, and the surrounding suburbs of Harrison, Franklin and Amaroo bring families through every weekend. The lake, the leisure centre and a growing list of parks and playgrounds keep kids busy, and the new builds mean almost every venue has decent parking and step-free access.
