The Tuggeranong Men's Shed turns 30, and it's busier than ever

Three decades on, the Tuggeranong Men's Shed in Greenway runs three workshops a week and has a six-month waiting list for new members.

Convenor Bob Hennessy puts the demand down to a quieter cause: more men retiring alone, and looking for a reason to leave the house on a Tuesday.

The shed's restored toys go to Vinnies every December — last year they handed over 411.
