Pilates and yoga studios are concentrated in the inner north and inner south, with newer reformer studios opening across Gungahlin and Woden. This guide is descriptive only and is not medical or movement advice; talk to your GP or an allied health professional about what is right for you.

Reformer pilates

Pilates Plus Canberra in Kingston and Club Pilates in Gungahlin run small reformer classes through the day. Most studios offer an intro session so a new instructor can show you how the machine works before you join group classes.

Mat pilates and matwork

Many gyms include mat pilates in their group fitness timetables. Allied health clinics also run clinical pilates run by physiotherapists; we list those separately under wellness practitioners.

Vinyasa and power yoga

Power Living Yoga Canberra in Braddon runs heated and unheated vinyasa classes from early morning to evening. Newer to yoga? Most studios offer a beginners flow or fundamentals class.

Hatha and yin

Slower-paced hatha and yin classes are widely available in Belconnen and the inner north, often early morning or late evening. Yin classes tend to be longer holds and are suited to recovery days.
