The Environment and Planning directorate released the draft Dickson Group Centre precinct plan late on Wednesday.
It loosens mixed-use rules around the bus interchange, allows residential above ground-floor retail on the Antill Street frontage, and proposes a pedestrian-priority spine along Woolley Street outside the Asian food strip.
Public consultation runs for six weeks with two information sessions in July. The Dickson Residents Group has welcomed the spine proposal and flagged concerns about delivery and waste access for restaurants.
A revised plan is expected to go to the Minister late this year.
