Canberra United beat Sydney FC 2-1 at GIO Stadium on Saturday night, lifting them into a home A-League Women semi-final for the first time since the 2019 season.
Striker Mia Tasi scored both, the winner an 87th-minute header from a Demi Koulizakis cross. Sydney finished with ten after a second-half red.
Coach Njegosh Popovich credited the squad's defensive reset following last month's loss to Melbourne City. 'We've found the version of ourselves we wanted to be in March,' he said.
The home semi against Adelaide will be played on the last weekend of the month. Tickets go on sale to members Tuesday and the general public Thursday.
